RESPECT for opponents is one of the weapons the Lions will use in their Africa Cup of Nations knockout match against the Red Arrows of Zambia to be played on Sunday at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

The Lions have secured a place in the Confederations Cup Africa after being eliminated in the Champions League by Jwaneng Galaxy of Botswana 3-3 on aggregate after a 2-0 away win at home.
Speaking to Mwanaspoti the team’s assistant coach Hitimana Thierry said, respecting their opponents and playing with caution is one of their concepts to do well in the game.

He said, even the players have been told to avoid what happened in the Champions League after their stars became more confident and found themselves giving the opponents a chance to get rid of them despite them being ahead.
“Even in this life to respect him their opponent is going to her right, so until we are required to do so, in order to do well at home before going away,”
“I am much confidence and my players, even the Arrows’ve watched them and we still regard them not bad, it’s a team “Very good, we have to fight and make good use of 90 minutes at home,”
he said.
